Dans le Noir ? invites you to dine in complete darkness, accompanied and served by unexpected guides. Enjoying dinner or lunch in pitch darkness is an original experience that allows us to re-evaluate our perception of taste by reawakening senses overwhelmed by the omnipresence of sight, to reinvigorate our relationship with the world and others and to experience a surprising encounter with something different.
A culinary and convivial experience awaits for you at the Radisson in the new trendy district of the docks (Bassins à Flot). This convivial and surprising experience looks like a real sensory journey! First thanks to the gourmet menu composed by the chef of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Denis Lemercier, using fresh ingredients to taste with a strict selection (made in the dark) of fine wines.
Enjoy also a surprising moment to socialize. Freed from our preconceptions and social conventions, any people next to you becomes a source of curiosity. The experience is made possible by an unexpected guide, making a visit a unique encounter with something different.

In order to best accompany your surprise menu, you can add the food and wine pairing. The wine served in each course of your dinner has been rigorously selected to enhance your sensory experience. This food & wine pairing consists of 3 glasses [one with the starter, a second with the main course and the last with the dessert]. We wanted to make it accessible to as many people as possible, by serving a quantity of 6 cl / glass; or 18 cl in total (equivalent to 1.5 glasses in a classic dose). We prioritized the quality of the wines, selected for their sensory properties and their concordance with the different dishes. This quantity is also not incompatible with driving. The food & wine pairing is available for € 10 extra.
PRICE & TRANSPARENCY
Logistics and the need to follow specific safety procedures mean that we require a larger surface area to operate and a larger team than conventional restaurants, resulting in slightly higher prices than in a traditional restaurant.
Our responsible approach and the high proportion of products from organic farming, in particular fruit and vegetables, also influence the prices we charge.

We employ 6 visually impaired or blind guides at the Bordeaux restaurant. More than 30 people among our teams worldwide are vision impaired which is almost half of our staff.
Other blind experts are also available to run our sensory space and its wine tasting sessions, for special events such as organising recruitment sessions, company events, official receptions, product launches, press events, sensory workshops, brainstorming or team building sessions, etc People with visual impairments don’t just work in the company as waiters. For example, the Deputy Director of our Group is blind. We also often employ consultants, experts or blind trainers on an ad hoc basis in France, the UK and Europe.
There is a maximum of 48 covers in our dark dining room. We can offer alternatives to groups over 48, so do not hesitate to contact us directly.
The Radisson Blu Hotel Bordeaux also offers numerous conference rooms, cocktail areas and a splendid bar with panoramic views of the Bassin à flot.
